I have an excellent understanding of what makes a good story, how to tell it and who best to tell it to.
Before training as a journalist, I worked as a senior account manager in a leading technology global PR agency providing communications strategies for large multinational corporations. It was a great way to learn and develop the full communications skills that I now provide including creative strategy, media outreach plans, marketing copy, case study management and press releases.
I now use my health and disability expertise to provide marketing and PR consultancy for various charities including Help for Heroes and Diabetes UK. At the latter I worked as a media account manager for a corporate partnership helping to increase the coverage by 27 per cent in one year and beating my top line targets by 44 per cent. I have good contacts in women’s magazine, national papers and trade magazines.
